Rajesh Kumar slapped: Sarabhai vs Sarabhai fame actor Rajesh Kumar recently told that co-actor Manohar Singh had slapped him hard in a sequence.
When co-actor slapped
In an interview given to Dainik Bhaskar, the actor said- ‘We were shooting a 9 minute long sequence. For the scene, I had to sit in a bar and drink and my father had to come and slap me. Before this I had never played the role of a drunkard. So to get into character I took a shot of brandy. Everything was fine in the rehearsal. But when we did the final scene, after 7 minutes of shooting, Manohar ji slapped me so hard that my ears went numb. The crew was completely quiet and I couldn’t do anything, just wonder why they hit me so hard.
The actor further said- Manohar ji immediately hugged me and apologized. He told me that I slapped you so that you could understand that you should never drink alcohol while acting. Then he took me for a walk and told me about the 11 symptoms of an alcoholic. After that I realized the seriousness of the craft.
